The one-Michelin-starred restaurant has brought fine dining into the modern era. It is certainly one of the city’s best restaurants, but its doors are closed until further notice. However, head chef Ollie Dabbous and his team continue to work hard in the kitchen, and they are now offering a delicious menu for delivery. You can order dishes such as Suckling pig with mustard fruit puree or roast scallop with Jerusalem artichoke and black truffle through the Supper app. Hide is also a very popular breakfast spot and is famed for its fresh bread and pastries. Those too are available for delivery.
Davies & Brook
Daniel Humm’s first British restaurant, located inside Claridge’s, opened last year to critical acclaim. It was undoubtedly one of the best restaurant openings of the year. The pandemic hit just as it was establishing itself among London’s major fine dining destinations. Although you will have to wait for it to reopen to experience the full menu again, Davies & Brook offers a small glimpse into its culinary genius with the launch of a special takeaway offering. The new ‘To Go’ Box offers the restaurant’s signature fried chicken C.F.C. dish alongside some delicious ‘sides’ and a summer dessert all made with love from the Davies and Brook team. Two Davies and Brook signature summer cocktails; Strawberry Milk Punch and Elderflower Cooler are also available, ready to pour. The Davies and Brook ‘To Go’ Box is designed as a meal for one person priced at £35 ($44) per box (cocktails at £9 ($11)) and includes Claridge’s Fried Chicken, potato salad, broad bean hummus, marinated aubergine, Parker house bread rolls and raspberry cheesecake.
